About Me

Born and raised in London, England, I left home at just 16 years old for Switzerland, the birth country of my father, to pursue my dream of becoming a professional soccer player. In 2003 I made my professional debut with Grasshopper Club Zurich when I was 18, playing in 2 consecutive UEFA Cups. After 6 seasons, in 2009, I joined BSC Young Boys and spent 8 memorable years. After 14 seasons in the Swiss Super League, I moved to North America, and played 2 seasons for Orlando City SC and my final season for the Vancouver Whitecaps, making 67 appearances in the MLS before retiring in 2020.

I was fortunate to have competed in almost 400 professional games, including 10 in the UEFA Champions League and 55 in the UEFA Cup and Europa League.

I was also privileged to represent Switzerland at both youth (U17, U20 and U21) and senior level (2 caps).

My coaching journey started shortly after retiring whereby I joined the coaching staff at the University of Virginia. After almost 2 years, I got my first head coaching role at D.C United, taking over the U15s before progressing to the U17s. I am currently working with the Orlando Pride as their Player Development Coach and am fortunate enough to train daily with some of the world’s best female players such as Marta and Barbra Banda.

I am a firm believer of “if you have knowledge, pass it on to those who do not”. I am excited to take my experiences to the next level by now focusing heavily on the individual development side of our beautiful game.
